Students got a chance to meet Dahlia Huh, one of the candidates for the Student Member of the Board, today at lunch. Huh, a junior at Clarksburg High School, chatted with students in the cafeteria, getting her name and message out before the election April 30.

“It’s been really casual, really informal, just talking to students eating their lunch,” Huh said. “I think that’s the best way to get to know students across our county because it’s so diverse.”

Huh hopes to establish a more personal relationship between the SMOB and students next year.

“I think it’s cool how she was trying to integrate herself into different schools, see how we are because she goes to a different school,” said junior Hanalei Fong. “She said she’s going to Watkins Mill too, so I think it’s great that she tries to connect with other students.”

Huh handed out stickers and was available for questions from students during lunch.
“It’s really interesting to see all the different perspectives that students bring to the table,” Huh said. “That’s why I believe in doing school visits.”
