After a few weeks of repairs, the courtyard will reopen this week, principal Alan Goodwin said. Contractors have been working on removing mold and algae under the greenhouse and repairing leaks into the cafeteria.

“For years I’ve had concerns about mold in the interior of the courtyard under the greenhouse and it was impossible for our building service workers to clean,” Goodwin said.

Despite the inconvenience to students at lunch, Goodwin decided the maintenance was a priority.

“It’s a huge improvement in appearance,” Goodwin said. “Also, getting rid of mold, algae and leaks is always a good idea health-wise.”
