The boys basketball team lost, 68-27, to the 16-5 Blake Bengals, lowering its record to 5-16.
The boys got off to an early lead and finished the first quarter up 11-8 thanks to good teamwork and ball movement.
The game took a turn for the worse for the Vikes in the second quarter. The Bengals’ aggressive offense took off on a scoring streak that lasted for much of the game. The Bengals led 29-19 at half.
The Vikes grew impatient and inaccurate on offense and were weakened by turnovers. The Bengals had nine three-pointers over the course of the game.
