Students with seventh period in Whittier Woods evacuated the building at 1:15 p.m. today because of a temporary decrease in water pressure. Security let students back to class after fifteen minutes.
The pressure in the sprinkler system dropped and caused the alarm system to go off, business manager Eddy Campbell said.
“The water level drops periodically. It’s a very normal occurrence,” Campbell said.

Montgomery County firemen came to examine the situation, but quickly found that there was no fire in the building.
Campbell said a similar water pressure drop occurred once last year in the main building.
