Girls tennis sweeps Poolseville 7-0

The girls tennis team dominated the Poolesville Falcons 7-0 this Wednesday improving their record to 8-3.

The Vikings won all their matches in straight sets, excluding third doubles player Lauren Evoy, who won a grueling match, with a final score of 6-2, 6-7, and 10-2 in a tie-breaker.

Evoy said that the inconsistent wind during the match made points longer and harder to win.

“[The] inconsistently strong wind which was a bit of an impediment,” she said. “However, we pulled through as evident in the score. We could not have had a better final away match for this season.”

The girls look to end their season on a six-game winning streak when they host the Springbrook Blue Devils Thursday for senior night.
