Wrestling defeats Walter Johnson and B-CC

The wrestling team defeated the Walter Johnson Wildcats, 48-24 and B-CC by a score of 55-23, securing a record of 13-1 and qualifying for the region duals.

Harriet Symington, Jacob Cutler, Mitch Fenton, Kevin Baker, Stephen Sharbaugh, James Bamberger, Jack Calder, and Max Sessions all won their individual matches and the rest of the team finished strong to capture a big milestone.

For the first time in four years, the team will go to the Region Duals, which includes the top four teams in the 4A/3A west division. The Vikings will enter as the second seed out of the four teams. The winner of the Duals will advance to the state duals Feb 15.

The Vikings finished their season with a record of 13-1 in meets, also their best mark in four years. With the victories over the rival Barons and Wildcats, they have momentum going into the playoffs.
