The boys basketball team lost 65-49 against the 1-1 Quince Orchard Cougars Dec. 12, lowering its record to 1-2.
While the teams kept pace with each other in the first quarter, the Vikes quickly lost steam and were trailing by 11 points at the half.
The Vikes lacked intensity and energy and were unable to stop the Cougar offense from creating opportunities to shoot. The Quince Orchard defense often trapped balls shot by Viking offense, leading to multiple turnovers.
The Vikes aim to balance their record in their game at home Dec. 14 against the 2-1 Magruder Colonels.
