The golf team placed second place in the state tournament at the University of Maryland Oct. 26, ending its successful season.
The foursome of captain Brandon Eng, Nick West, Sam Pastoriza and Andrew Barth were the only Montgomery County team to qualify for the final round of the competition. Eng placed third individually, shooting an average of 73 on eighteen holes, while Barth placed sixth.
The Vikes were undefeated with a record of 17-0-1 during their regular season, won their district championship and placed second in counties.
