Girls volleyball loses to Sherwood 3-1, dropping record to 1-2

While the cafeteria was crowded with a deluge of students during Clubs Night on Tuesday, the gym was equally packed with fans eager to support one of Whitman’s under-appreciated teams: the girls volleyball team.

Sadly for the fans, they were unable to see their team walk away with a win, as Whitman fell 3-1 to the visiting Sherwood Warriors. Whitman won the first set 25-22, however fell in the next three straight sets, 25-11, 25-20, and 25-15.

The loss drops Whitman to 1-2 on the season, while Sherwood remains undefeated at 3-0. The team looks to get back to .500 when they face crosstown rivals the B-CC Barons on the road this Thursday night.
