Wootton, Prep and Northwest break records at Viking Invitational

At the Fifth Annual Viking Invitational last weekend, wind gusts up to 29 miles per hour made running conditions dificult. However, runners from Wootton, Georgetown Prep and Northwest all broke records.

A total of 37 different teams competed at the event, giving a good sneak preview of the upcoming championship season. While the Vikings didn’t come away with many notable times, many meet records were broken.

While the Vikings didn’t win as a team, the invitational was extremely successful in bringing so many teams together, showcasing some of the top runners who will be competing at the Penn Relays.
