Girls basketball defeats B-CC, 45-28

The Lady Vikes dominated the B-CC Barons, Monday, in a home rivalry match, 45-28, improving their record to 8-2 on the season.

The team was led in scoring by guard Hannah Niles who registered 14 points with two three-pointers.

Forward Avery Witt emphasized how important of a win defeating a rival like B-CC was.

“It was a big win because it was against one our biggest rivals,” Witt said.  “Every win gets us a step closer to states.”

The team is undefeated in conference play at 3-0, which can be attributed to its team chemistry according to Witt.

“We have really good chemistry,” Witt said.  “Each player on our team is capable of making strong plays.”

Whitman played tenacious defense in the third quarter allowing B-CC to score only one point.

The Vikes will face the Richard Montgomery Rockets this Wednesday at home and look to secure their ninth win of the season.
