Varsity football fell to the Seneca Valley Screaming Eagles 41-14 on Oct. 29, lowering its record to 6-3.
Seneca set the pace early on in the game, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, running back Miles Davis scored with a six yard rush, but the point after was unsuccessful. However, Seneca Valley retaliated and immediately scored off of a ten yard pass to close the half out.
Seneca Valley scored two more times in the third quarter and played tough defense. However, running back Val Djidotor carried the ball in from the one yard line to bring the score to 35-14.
After recovering a fumble, Seneca scored one final time before the end of the game.
Running back Miles Davis attributes the team’s loss to its slow start.
“We came out in the first quarter and made too many mistakes,” he said. “We spotted them 14 points five minutes into the game, and it’s just too hard to come back from that.”
The boys will look to end their season on a high note when they face the 5-4 Churchill Bulldogs next week on senior night.
