Girls varsity volleyball snapped its five game losing skid by shutting out the winless Wheaton Knights 3-0 on Oct. 20, improving to 4-7.
The Lady Vikes fell behind early in the first set, but kills by Alex Rosenthal, Emma Bird, Vera Ivezic and Tamara Ibrahim brought the team back and eventually led to a 25-20 win.
The teams scored back and forth in the second set and were knotted at 13. However, the Vikings put together a 3-0 and 4-0 run and pulled away late to a 25-17 set win.

Bird recorded four kills in the final set to give the team a 25-18 win, which closed out the game.
The Lady Vikes will look to put together a late season push for the playoffs when they take on Einstein on Oct. 26.
