The National Merit Scholarship Corporation awarded 64 Whitman seniors as 2010 National Merit Commended students for receiving a score in the top two-thirds of the 50,000 highest scoring students around the country.
Though these students are not able to apply for National Merit scholarships, some students will be eligible for special scholarships funded by businesses and corporations.
