Varsity girls soccer lost to the Thomas Johnson Patriots 2-0 on Oct 16, dropping its record to 7-3 for the season.

The Lady Vikes were able to keep pace with the Patriots for the first half of the game and controlled most of the possessions.

However, the Vikings failed to convert any chances into goals and entered halftime tied at zero.

However, 10 minutes into the second half, goalkeeper Hannah Sasscer left the game to catch a flight to Providence, where she will play in college.  Backup goalie Claire Bartholomew was at a club soccer game, so JV goalie Izzi Mason played between the pipes for the team.

The Lady Vikes made a risky formation change and the Patriots capitalized with two quick goals.

The team will look to bounce back against cross-town rival BCC on Oct 22.
