Varsity girls volleyball fell to the Gaithersburg Trojans 3-0 on Oct 5, dropping its record to 3-5.
At the start of the first set, the Lady Vikes stayed right with the Trojans and tied the score at ten. However, the Vikings lost the lead and couldn’t get back on track; they eventually lost the first set 25-19.
The girls consistently trailed and the Trojans in the second set, but went on a late run and knotted the set at 21. However, the Vikes could only score two more points and allowed the Trojans to take an early two set lead.
The Trojans dominated the third set and quickly reached 25 points while giving up only 13 to the Lady Vikes.
The team will look to improve its record later this week when it travels to BCC to face the 3-4 Barons.
