Varsity football lost to the Quince Orchard Cougars 12-7, Sept 16, dropping its record to 2-1.

The Cougars scored late in the first quarter, bringing the score to 7-0. They then scored a field goal in the second.

The Vikings went into halftime trailing 10-0.

In the third quarter, the Vikes couldn’t advance the ball down the field due to poor catching that plagued the team throughout the game.

Late in the third quarter, the Vikings set up to punt deep in their own side of the field when longsnapper Michael Flack sent the ball over kicker Connor Gordon’s head, forcing a safety.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Vikes scored their only touchdown of the game when quarterback Henry Kuhn found Flack in the endzone with a 15 yard pass, bringing the score to 12-7.

The boys failed to generate any additional points, and the game ended 12-7.

Although the Vikings couldn’t pull out a win, they are still undefeated in their conference.

Next week, the Vikes will go up against the 3-0 BCC Barons at home for the Homecoming game.
