Girls Soccer

The girls soccer team (1–0) started the season out with a 4–2 victory over Quince Orchard (0–1).

The Vikes seized control quickly, going up 2–1 at halftime, and replicated the same score in the second half.

Forward captain Abby Meyers led the team with a game-high two goals.

“This is exactly how we wanted to start the season,” Meyers said. “There’s always room for improvement, but this was a good bounce-back game.”

The Vikings play Blake at home on Monday.

Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team (2–1) fell to Quince Orchard 3–1 Thursday night. Adam Deutchman scored the first goal of the game for the squad but the cougars followed up with three goals to defeat the Vikes.

The team’s next game is Monday against Blake.

Field Hockey

The field hockey team (1–1) lost to the Clarksburg Coyotes 2–1 in a defensive battle. Forward Claire Hisle scored the lone goal for the Vikes, as the Coyote defense was able to halt the Viking attack.

The Vikes host Wootton on Monday.
