Varsity Girls Volleyball fell to the Churchill Bulldogs 0-3, September 16, falling to 3-1 on the season.
In their first loss of the year, theLady Vikes did not win a single game over the power house Bulldogs.
“Although we lost all three games, we played really well,” said center Priscilla North.
Coach Meryl Wagman credits much of the team’s success thus far to setters Alex Rosenthal and right back Tamara Ibrahim. In the match though, it was strong play from centers Emma Bird and North that kept the girls in contention.
“The last game we lost 18-25, and it was really close,” says left back Victoria North. “We played really well, but Churchill had incredible passing.”
This was first loss for the girls this season, leaving their record at 3-1.
“Despite this loss, we’re excited for the games to come,” says North. “Our record is still strong and we hope to improve on it.”
