The girls tennis team lost their second straight match of the season against the Churchill Bulldogs 6-1 Monday.
Second singles player Livy Meyers was the only Viking to win her match, defeating the reigning doubles champion Alissa Li in two sets.
The third doubles team of Anna Marcus and Olivia Matthews fought back from a rough start to force the match to three sets, despite losing 3-6, 7-6, 4-6.
“With the two losses in a row, most of the team is going into the rest of our matches with a new and positive mindset, to try and put the two losses in the past,” captain Ali Dane said. “We are a really strong team and we can definitely finish out the season with a winning record.”
The girls look to improve on their 3-2 record when they host the B-CC Barons Wednesday.
