The girls tennis team’s winning streak came to an abrupt halt on Friday when they lost to the undefeated Wootton Patriots 6-1.
“Wootton was a tough team,” first singles player Sarinah Wahl said. “Even though we lost, we had a good match because we gave our best game against them with our abilities.”
Third singles player Lauren Evoy was the only Viking to defeat her opponent, winning in two sets.
“In the future, whenever we play against someone that tough, we should remember not to let them get into our heads, even if the competition is incredibly difficult,” Wahl said.
