Superintendent Joshua Starr, along with an entourage of MCPS and political officials, visited classrooms Friday morning.
Starr was joined by MCPS associate superintendent Christopher Garran, County Council member Roger Berliner, State House delegate Ariana Kelly and senator Nancy King. The five of them, along with their assistants, strolled the halls and peeked into classes of various disciplines.
The group observed a discussion about Of Mice and Men in a freshman English class, a demonstration on how to roll film in a photography class and a lab in AP chemistry. The photo class was particularly interesting for Starr because it was one of his favorite classes in high school, he said.
Starr has a passion for education and likes to observe traditional instruction when he visits schools, he said.
The group enjoyed their visit and thought that the students and teachers were engaged in their work, Goodwin said.
“It’s always good when people see the good things going on in our school,” he said. “The teachers work hard and the students work hard, so it’s a good reinforcement that they liked their visit.”

Frankly I find the reporting of this article to be amateur and quite honestly offensive to the stadndards of the black and white. I dont know who this Matt Yang is but I suggest he seriously review his writing before he even attempts to pubish another article
