The Lady Vikes ended their season after a 46-37 home loss to the Kennedy Cavaliers in the third round of the playoffs.
The Cavaliers had a very strong defensive outing, holding the Vikes’ leading scorer Marie Hatch to just four points.
The Vikes were able to keep it close throughout the entire game, but Kennedy pulled away at the end for the win.
Despite another strong defensive outing, the team’s 21-2 season came to an end and the team that was once ranked eleventh by Washington Post All-Met standings suffered defeat.
Although a promising season came to an end, the Vikes have a very young team and will look to have more successful seasons to come. Four of the team’s top five scorers will return in the 2014-2015 season as well.
