The girls tennis team swept the Poolesville Falcons and won 7-0 on Sept. 16.
The team dominated the Falcons, not dropping a set in all seven of their matches and was led by singles player Kamilla Beisenova who didn’t lose a game, winning 6-0 in both of her sets.
The Vikes approach to each match has been strong and is one of the reasons for their strong start to the season.
“We gained a lot of great players who carry their weight for the team,” senior Whitney Cinkala said. “We have done a really great job approaching every match with the same mentality and focus. Everyone goes into each match as if it’s against Churchill or Wootton,” she said.
The Vikes look to continue their strong start on Sept. 17 against the Sherwood Warriors.
