The 1-1 girls volleyball team secured its first victory of the season by defeating the 0-1 Springbrook Devils, 3-0 on Tuesday Sept. 1.
After a disappointing season opener, the Vikes were focused and determined as they dominated the Devils point after point.
“I knew the team wasn’t strong going in, but I think we’re improving on our overall chemistry and the team was good enough that we had something to improve with,” junior libero Hannah Jacobs said.

The Vikes hope to gain another victory as they battle the Sherwood Warriors Sept. 18.
