Football blown out by Quince Orchard, 46-3

The football team fell to the 5-1 Quince Orchard Cougars Oct. 5 46-3, dropping its record to 2-4 and eliminating it from playoff contention._

The Vikings committed sloppy mistakes and failed to score a touchdown for the second time this season.

Quince Orchard jumped out to an early 19-0 lead with two rushing touchdowns from running back Tyrell Williams in the first quarter. The Vikings were able to get three points on the board with a 44-yard field goal by kicker Zack Snyder, bringing the score to 33-3 at the end of the first.

The Cougars dominated the game, scoring touchdowns on both offense and defense. Led by linebacker Marcus Newby, they smothered the Vikings offense, holding running back Zac Morton to 20 yards on 12 carries. Quarterback Kevin McGowan also struggled, throwing a total of three interceptions.
