The boys tennis lost, 5-2, against the undefeated Wootton Patriots, April 26, making its record 8-3 entering the final game of the regular season.
Individual players Aries Wong and Sean Ngo won their two matches, but despite hard effort the rest of the team ultimately lost their matches.
After coming out strong, and losing the first game by one, 6-7, individual player Joe Davis battled but in the end lost the second game 3-6.
“It was a tough loss for us,” Davis said. “We need to win the next one to gain momentum before playoffs.”
The team will host the 8-2 Northwood Gladiators, April 27, in the last game before playoffs.
