The Allied softball team lost a close game to the Clarksburg Coyotes, 9-8, dropping its record to 0-2 April 24.
Head coach Leslie Gilman was impressed with the way Michael Shapiro pitched, Ben Sternfeld played at first base, how effectively the team batted, and how the team was focused and put forth lots of effort.
Gilman also notes that the team has shown improvement since its first game when it only scored three runs, and looks forward to the future.
“We were able to get eight runs, which was magnificent,” Gilman said. “I think at practice everyone’s skills are going to continue to develop and we’re just going to get better.”
