The boys tennis team annihilated the 5-1 Blair Blazers, 6-1, April 17, improving its record on the season to 6-1.
For the second straight game, the boys dominated their opponents in six straight sets to secure wins. The doubles won both matches. The doubles team of David Bloch and Joey Gumataotao won its match in three sets, winning the first set 5-0, and the third 6-3.
Aries Wong, Sean Ngo and Lucas Schoch all won their individual matches. Schoch, who was suffering from cramps and stomach pains, put up an impressive fight.
“Lucas was hurting and wanted to stop playing,” head coach Jasen Gohn said. “But he gutted it out, did not give up and took care of business.”
Despite his hard intensity, individual player Joe Davis lost his match in three sets.
The team looks to keep the streak alive when it hosts the 5-2 Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons April 19.

I just find it funny that the Blair team is the Blazers, it keeps making me think we’re playing against suit-jackets.
