Baseball advances to 6-0

The baseball team beat the 4-2 Walter Johnson Wildcats, 14-4, and the 2-4 B-CC Barons, 6-5, in a double header April 2, keeping the team’s record undefeated at 6-0.

Michael West pitched for the Vikes in the game against the Wildcats. While the Vikes gave up three runs in the first inning, they came back later in the game to overtake WJ.  Dan Duffy hit his second home run of the season, while Andrew Castagnetti had three runs batted in.

Patrick Hisle was the starting pitcher in the game against the Barons, and punched out four players before teammates Alex Beckel, Ryan McGill, and Michael Flack finished out the game. Mike Yang lead the team with three runs batted in, beating the Barons 6-5.

“We really sent a message to the league winning both games and beating WJ like we did,” McGill said. “It feels great going into [spring] break 6-0. We got the mojo flowing, so all we have to do is keep it up.”
