The baseball team beat the Poolesville Falcons, 7-0, Mar. 21, in its season opener, starting the season off at 1-0.
Captain Ryan McGill pitched well for six innings, not allowing a single Falcon runner to score. Right-fielder Michael Flack hit a triple, while Patrick Hisle hit a run-batted-in.
“It was a good way to start the season,” Hisle said. “[McGill] pitched great and we rallied behind him. It’s a good indicator of our season to come.”
Next, the Vikes take on the Blair Blazers Mar. 23 in their first home game of the season.
