Girls basketball defeats BCC, 52-31

On the same night that the girls JV basketball team won its 50th consecutive  win, the varsity girls team defeated the 1-14 BCC Barons, 52-31, Jan. 27, raising its record to 9-6.

Both teams came out ready to play, trading points with one another throughout the first quarter. After a series of back-to-back points, the score was tied at 10 going into the second quarter.

However, the Vikes offense began to click again, and the team outscored the Barons 16-9, giving them a 26-19 lead heading into halftime.

Similar to the second quarter, the Vikes outscored the Barons in the  third and fourth quarters, hitting a total of six three pointers throughout the game. The Vikes lockdown defense held the Barons to just five and seven points in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
