The girls basketball team lost its first game of the season, 58-49, Dec. 16, against the 5-0 Paint Branch Panthers, lowering its record to 4-1.
The team came out strong and had their offense running smoothly, holding a lead over the Panthers heading into halftime.
However, Paint Branch picked up its intensity throughout the third quarter and ultimately turned the tide around, defeating the Vikes by nine points.
The team faces the 4-1 Walter Johnson Wildcats Dec. 21 at home.
