The football team lost its Homecoming and senior night game to the 9-1 Paint Branch Panthers, 36-8, Nov. 4, ending its season at 5-5.
Before the game began, the seniors walked on the field with their families as part of the senior night ceremonies.
The Panthers opened the game with a seven yard pass, soon followed by a field goal and a controversial punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter.
A pair of fumbles and interceptions by the Vikes allowed the Panthers to take a 17-0 lead at halftime.
The Panthers returned the opening kick of the second half for another touchdown, although the Vikes responsed with their first score of the game when quarterback Michael Flack ran in for a five yard touchdown and followed up with a successful two-point conversion.
Soon after, linebacker Tommy Scholl picked off the Panthers quarterback deep in the Vikings territory, but their time on offense was cut short when Flack threw another interception. The Panthers turned this interception into a touchdown, putting them up 29-8.
A short disturbance in the game occurred in the second half when a student streaked across the field, causing security to chase after him.
When play resumed, the Panthers sealed the win with a 48 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, ending the game 36-8 and ending the Vikes’ season.

WHY ARE WE PRAISING PAINT BRANCH?!
SERIOUSLY Michael Flack RAN for a 5 yard touchdown AND Tommy Scholl SACKED the Paint Branch quarterback. If Paint Branch was the best in football, how come they couldn’t stop those key moments?

Paint Branch might be good, but who knew they were this good? They DOMINATED the vikings.
