The field hockey team fell to the 3-0 Poolesville Falcons, 0-2, Sept. 21, lowering its record to 2-2.
The girls played strong in the first half, keeping the ball in their offensive zone for a majority of the time.
Despite their possession, the Vikes failed to convert numerous goal opportunities. The Falcons soon capitalized on this disadvantage, scoring the only two goals of the game in the second half.
“We are going to use this as a learning curve,” attacker Sammy Tozzi said. “We will learn from our mistakes, and hopefully go out strong and win the next one.”
The team will host the 5-1 Paint Branch Panthers Sept. 22.
