The boys started their season strong with a 13-3 defeat over the Blair Blazers, Mar. 21.
The Vikes started the game slow, with Blair’s Paul Kovar scoring a quick shot in the first two minutes. The boys then retaliated with two of their own goals, only until a Blazer made the final score of the first quarter, leaving the teams tied.
After the first quarter, the Vikes proved relentless. The boys scored 11 more goals throughout the game, while the Blazers barely shot in one.
While seven players on the team who contributed to the team’s success, attacker Mike Lancellota led the way with four goals, while attacker Trevor Hains and midfielders Sam Oshinsky and Christian Sanson added two each.
The Vikes will host the 0-1 BCC Barons on Mar. 23 in hopes to further their 1-0 record.
