The boys JV hockey team beat the Churchill Bulldogs 3-2 in overtime, earning it the state championship.
The Vikings started off slow, down 2-0 at the end of the second period.
However, with 12 minutes left in the third period, freshman Dawood Amiri fed junior Mikey Gura for a one time shot that brought the Vikes back into the game.
Then, freshman Will Moss took advantage of the exhausted Bulldogs and carried the puck down the ice to score the tying goal with 5:41 left in the third.
In overtime, the boys dominated offensive possession, maintaining the puck for most of the period. But with 5:56 left in the overtime period, freshmen Ethan Weintraub scored the game winning goal.
“Churchill had us worried in the beginning but our coaches helped us back on our game,” junior Seth Massey said.

Whoever posted as me actually did a good job emulating my grammatical prowess.
But it’s obvious that these aren’t the actual people, as I doubt Aidan would make fun of varsity and Ethan and I just sound like we have problems.
Also, notice how they’re all done at the same time. Unless we really wanted to collaborate on something this pointless, I’d say that someone just sent three comments in succession.
But good article, Ryan.
