“All That Glitters” is student designers

The Fashion Society presented the “All That Glitters” fashion show Friday night. Students modeled the designs of 20 club members who created spring clothing lines.  Each designer chose music which played while the models walked the runway. The music matched the style of the designers’ lines.

The designs consisted of many high-waisted skirts and dresses, following a popular from the last couple of years.

Designs varied from edgy to whimsical, from Ryan Coan bringing back the tie-die of the 60s in his line “rcubed” to Erica Banner’s “Oz Redefined” where she added her unique style to redesign outfits from “The Wizard of Oz.” Stephanie Wayne drew inspiration for her line, “D.T. Femme,” from the clothing she saw on a trip she took to Europe last summer.

Though some lines had only two or three designs, the audience gave each designer a positive response.  With very high energy, colorful stage lights and a fairly packed auditorium, the show was a big success.
