The boys basketball team improved their record to 3-1 on Wednesday evening, after overcoming the 2-3 Northwood Gladiators 71-43.
The Vikings had their strongest offensive performance of the year, outscoring Northwood in every quarter. By the end of the first half, the Vikings were leading 40-21.
“We did a really good job pushing the ball and getting easy buckets,” small forward CK Koumbourlis said. “Our guards were able to break down their defense and get good shots for our guys.”
The Viking defense was dominant throughout the game, holding Northwood to only four points in the second quarter.
“We changed up the defense and switched to a zone, which prevented them from getting a lot of rebounds,” Koumbourlis said.
The Vikings return home Friday to face the 3-1 Blair Blazers.
