The girls volleyball team improved their record to 6–4 on Friday evening, shutting out the Seneca Valley Eagles 3–0.
The game, which was originally scheduled to be at Whitman, was moved to Seneca Valley due to renovations of Whitman’s gym.
The Vikings’ defense was not pressured much by Seneca Valley, which is now 2–8 on the season. Meanwhile, their offense continued its aggressive style of play, outpacing Seneca Valley to 25 points in all three sets.
“Maddie McGill made some incredible sets to the outside and middle hitters, and because of that we got perfect hits,” middle blocker Cami Rogers said.
The Viking defense closed out especially strong, holding Seneca Valley to just 11 points in the final set.
The Vikings now head to face the 7–4 Poolesville Falcons on the road Tuesday evening.
