The girls volleyball team’s record fell to 4–3 Tuesday evening after a 3–2 loss to the Blair Blazers.
The Blazers, who are now 6–1, played the Vikings through all five sets, and came out with the win in the final set after a furious comeback to triumph 16–14 after forcing a win by two.
“We won the first set and the fourth set. We were ahead all of the last set until we reached 14, then they caught up,” outside hitter Claire Nagelhout said.
Tuesday’s loss comes in a similar manner to the Viking loss last week against the Churchill Bulldogs, who also played the Vikings to five sets.
“We are always so close,” Nagelhout said, “We haven’t lost a game where we haven’t been at the same level as the opposing team. The issues we have will be improved this season.”
The Vikings return home for their next game against the 4–3 Richard Montgomery Rockets this Friday.
