The girls volleyball team picked up their third win of the season on Wednesday night, defeating the now 0–3 Clarksburg Coyotes 3–1.
The Coyote defense was no match for the dynamic Vikings offense, which won 95 points in the contest.
“We had our fundamentals down and were able to step up with intensity while playing, whereas they got sloppy and were unable to keep up,” libero Maddie London said.
The Vikings went into the game looking to continue working on teamwork and mastery of basic skills, which were both absent when the during a preseason scrimmage against the Coyotes that the Vikes lost, 2–1.
“It was important for us to remember the fundamentals, and play well together as a team instead of individuals,” London said.
The now-undefeated Vikings continue on the road, facing the 2–1 Wootton Patriots on Saturday.
