The boys lacrosse team rebounded from a tough loss Friday to defeat the Blake Bengals, 16-5, Saturday Apr. 5.
After a slow start, the Vikings were able to get back into their offensive rhythm and shut down the Bengals.
Led by attacker Alex Hosker and midfielder Alex Hilsenrath, who each scored five goals, the Vikes were able to begin to extend their lead and put the game out of reach.
The win got the Vikings back on track just one day after the Vikes fell to the Wootton Patriots by nine.
“We just realized that what happened [against Wootton], happened and it was in the past,” Hosker said. “The next thing on our mind was to get ready to take on Blake the next day.”
The Vikings will now travel to Churchill to take on the Bulldogs in another big early-season test, Tues. April 8, in a game Hosker said the Vikes are ready for.
“We’ve got a coach that prepares very hard for us and gives us all the information we need to know,” he said. “After a good practice tomorrow, we should be ready to go.”
