The boys lacrosse team fell to the Wootton Patriots 11-2, Apr. 4, to fall to 3-2 on the season.
The game was one of the first tests for the Vikes who came out and found themselves down early, 4-0.
The only offense for the Vikings came from midfielder Alex Hilsenrath who scored twice against the tough Patriot defense that was able to stop the Vikes the rest of the game.
Going into the game, the Vikings wanted to be all around more aggressive than Wootton, but their game plan was broken early.
“We just tried to possess the ball and keep it on our offensive side of the field and away from their powerful offense,” Alec Gould said.
The Patriots were then able to cruise though the rest of the game en route to an easy 11-2 win.
The Vikings will now take on the Blake Bengals, Sat. April 5, before travelling to Churchill for another big game on Apr. 8.
