Girls lacrosse lost 5-8, April 15 to the Northwest Jaguars.
The girls started the game strong with multiple goals from sophomore Clara Schneider early in the half. Captain Shelby Holt and junior Natasha Schill set up the team’s offense by creating plentiful opportunities for Schneider.
However, their momentum slowed in the second half after Northwest scored two goals in a minute bringing the score to 5-3 with 20 minutes left in the game. Northwest capitalized on their lead, scoring 3 more goals, and although it was a low scoring half for the Vikes, Schill and sophomore Laura White were able to keep the ball out of their half. The Vikes face the Wooton Patriots away next Wednesday at 7:00.
