Girls lacrosse lost 10-11 in a close game against the Gaithersburg Trojans.
Although they could not seal the win, the girls played strong throughout the game with senior captains Meredith Cahill and Shelby Holt leading the team. Junior Emily Mashek suffered an injury that took her out of the game early, but this was still the girls’ best game yet and their improvements from last season were very visible.
“We played really well as a team,” Cahill said. “Our hard work during pre-season is finally paying off.”
The girls face tough competition next Tuesday when they play the Churchill Bulldogs away at 7.

Very concise, yet surprisingly potent. Heartbreaker of a game, spectacle of a story. If I know my Lady Vikes, they’ll bounce back.
