The 11-5 girls volleyball team ended its playoff run in a disappointing 0-3 loss to the 8-8 Walter Johnson Wildcats, Nov. 4.
Many enthusiastic Whitmaniacs came out to support the team, pumping the Vikes up for the game. The team had beaten the Wildcats 3-0 in the regular season, but they knew they were in for a hard game since the Wildcats’ best player had returned to the court after sitting out due to an injury.
The scores were close in each set, with the final score 25-22, 25-17, and 25-23.
Despite the loss, the team ended its season on a high note and was thankful for the unbelievable support and pride during its successful season.
“It was an amazing season and we have never gotten as many fans as we got this year,” setter Hanalei Fong said. “Vikes are we and we sail the sea”.
