The Hornets took an early lead and the Vikes trailed by one goal until they managed to tie the game at four deep into the fourth quarter.
The Hornets were quick offensively, scoring two goals in the last few minutes ending the game at 4-6.
“The game was a little bit rough,” senior captain Daniel Karr said. “It didn’t go our way but that’s the way it is sometimes.”
Despite a disappointing loss, the Vikes hope to come out strong and focused for next year according to assistant coach Max Vinograd.
