
The boys basketball team defeated the Wootton Patriots 64-46 Jan. 8, improving its record to 6-5.After starting the season 1-5, the Vikes have won 5 straight games including two victories in their winter break tournament at Deep Creek Lake.
The Vikes dominated the 0-11 Patriots from the beginning of the game and never looked back as they cruised to their fifth straight win.
Captain Andrew Castagnetti started off the game by scoring the team’s first five points and finished with a total of 16. Guard Max Steinhorn scored 12 points and made all three of his 3-point attempts, while captain Daniel Lowet and guard Liam Hatch each scored 9 points.
The Vikes look to maintain their momentum when they face the 3-8 Richard Montgomery Rockets Jan. 11 at home.
