The golf team beat the 9-8 Churchill Bulldogs, tied the 10-7 Quince Orchard Cougars, and lost to the 13-3 Wootton Patriots with a final score of 212 Monday Sep. 24 at Little Bennett Golf Course in Clarksburg, Maryland, improving its overall record to 13-4.
Andrew Barth led the team with a score of 40 while captain Sam Pastoriza scored a 42. Nick West and Danny Mills shot a 43, while Joe Davis shot a 44 and Stephen Sharbaugh shot a 47.
“I am happy that we finished our season with a strong winning record,” Pastoriza said. “And I am very pleased with the quality of the performance we put up in our regular season. I hope we can continue to play well into the playoffs and maybe into states.”
The match this past Monday was the final match of the regular season. The team has an overall stroke average of 203.50 thus far and looks to lower that number as it head into its next tournament.
The Vikes head up to Poolesville Golf Club on Oct. 1 to compete in the district tournament.
